in this lovely little board here, we have all the species information, the rules, and plot line and the in character posting template that is, yes i know, required to use. we highly suggest that you read all threads that are posted in this board before posting anywhere else or joining, this is only because if you join and attempt getting started you will most likely do something wrong and the staff will get agitated because you didn't read the information we provided, so please read all the information and carefully! note that if you say you read it, we will hold it against you! it's like signing the contract without reading the fine print. stupid.

this board holds the application template for your character along with the requirements for getting accepted. remember to fill it out completely. this application is like a typical role play post, so it's easier than listing likes, but you can't make a shitty post! that is just plain ridiculous! in order to create a good character you need a lot to work from so make it good! don't forget to post in all the face claims and who plays who when you write up your application. if you don't, you won't be accepted and that's not good is it?

all the character profiles that have been examined and reviewed by staff then accepted have been moved here. if your application is not moved into this bin then you may not start role playing but you may participate in the in character chat box on the right and the in character games board near the bottom of the forum in the others category. note that if you have deleted or wish to edit one of your characters that have already been accepted then please post on their application with what you wish to change or if you want to delete them, staff will assist you.

this required little board here is where all your pretty little character plotters will be listed! we ask you desperately that you don't use those plotters with long lists of song lyrics, those are rather annoying. we have a suggested template inside for you to use but you don't have to use it. but of course we highly recommend it just because it flows with the rest of the site and it clean and simple to use. remember that when you create one, post with the correct character account! we don't want to be confusing anyone like that. lastly, have fun plotting up those sexy characters of yours!

this board contains all the member character trackers. a character tracker is a simple thread that holds all their character's information on how many threads they have and how many are active or dead. this is optional but we highly recommend it because we all know it's hard to keep track of how many characters you have and how many threads they are in. again, we really want everyone to do this, but you don't have to. but still, nudge nudge, do it. no, seriously, do it, i'm not kidding, it's a good idea. do it.

deception has a lot of plots, and while some can be done with the characters that are already on the board, others are requesting to have one made for them. if you need someone to fill in a spot for a plot, or someone made for you such as finals, friends, certain enemies or family- request here and let everyone know so they can see it and consider taking the spot. be descriptive if you need to! if you want someone done a certain way, let us know so we know what we're getting into if we decide to fill a spot or not.

this is where all the member's bank accounts are listed. if you do not already know, a bank account is where each you keep track of the money you earn from posting around and just being active, these are called "marks." the only reason for the bank accounts is because of the lovely thread we have in the handbook board called "pawn shop." the pawn shop is a place where you can buy items for your characters and in order to purchase them you need marks, so please read the information in this board if you wish to use them.

this is where your characters can communicate over the internet, mail, or the phone. you can post your character's cell phone template in here as well as create letter threads and email threads. there are also suggested forms that i ask you use because it fits the site that much more better and because they are easy to use and simple, but you are welcome to use anything you want as long as it's not "out there" and very distracting like neon colors. so basically what i'm saying is, have fun!

bloodsuckers beware. well it is always one or two people that ruin it for everyone, no? well thanks to them vampires from torn are now going under court trial for recent murders all around town. with suspected -and actual- vampires being locked up in torn jail until their trials it is hoped that the murders stop. not only the vampires are having to take the fall for just a few vampires going on a blood run, but all those that could be possible vampires and as well as those poor victims of the actual predators. whatever you are, accused, victim, predator, or hunter, you're involved.

the flats, which are everywhere around town, are the most common place to live. actually, the only place other than the beach houses in fact. the flats come in either one bedroom with one bath, two bedrooms with one bath, or three bedrooms with two baths. at the front of each flat on the street there is a intercom box that you can buzz in to the number of flats on that street section. the flats are cheap, much more so than the beach houses, and are much more affordable for the common person living in torn but of course there are still those that struggle even keeping a flat. well have fun, eh? oh and i would advise for you to get a flat-mate, much cheaper that way.

the neighborhoods are one step above flats and one step below beach houses. if you are paid minimum wage and consider yourself middle class, you will most likely be living here. unlike the dirty and crowded flats in the center of town, these neighborhoods were built just on the outskirts so the busy aspects of the city are left behind and leaving you, resident of the neighborhoods, in peace and quiet with your perfect green grass and white picket fence. however, i should warn you, these are the most likely to be robbed because they are easier to get into than the beach houses and one living here most likely has something of value to steal unlike the flats.

houses that line the coast of torn are large and quite expensive. most of the walls of the beach houses that face the ocean are glass so you get a lovely and wide scale of the view as well as a lovely sunshine wake up in the morning, if you know what i mean. but of course there are shades that you can drop down mechanically. most are two stories with spiral staircases and patios that line the house front, sides, and back with lots of sitting space. a rare amount of people of torn are able to afford such a place but of course there are those that have made a living that were able. most are those who worked illegally in their past or those that inherited their money from rich family members.

[justify]the streets are the place to wander if you have no where else to go and absolutely nothing to do with your day. the streets are flooded with people and cars, driving on the left side of the street of course, so please if you are american, watch where you put your feet. there are many different shops and stores, mostly for tourists, that line the streets with more than enough nick-knacks for the whole world to enjoy. on the streets you will be sure to hear nothing but honking, tires screeching, people yelling, and dogs barking. there are many little things that will keep you entertained in the streets, there are even street vendors selling anything from paintings to buddist sculptures. enjoy![/justify]

[justify]descend down old, rickety stairs to the famous residence of willy the pawn shop owner, located in downtorn torn. it is one of the original buildings in town, housing all sorts of supernatural gizmos and items. it gained its reknown a few generations ago, when more and more people begun to grow more aware of supernatural beings. the shop itself is a little off, paint hangs from walls and cracks are slowly beginning to appear in the wood work. it also gives off this dark, musty old vibe and the distinct smell of rum. the rooms are dimly lit, with candles that flicker absently in the distance.[/justify]

[justify]located just on the fringes of downtown, torn pages is the largest used book shop in town. come here to find something to read, used and new alike. torn pages is a medium-sized shop with a single story and an apartment upstairs where the owner, cosette, lives and sleeps. the store features many private sitting areas in different subject sections like the windows or in the corner surrounded by books. an assortment of teas, coffee, and pastries are also available for purchase here at torn pages and many love to eat breakfast here with their morning coffee.

[justify]the laundry mat is located next to the drug store and hairstylist and has rows upon rows of washers and dryers where many people of torn come to wash their laundry only because the flats have horrible water systems and takes most of their hot water and increases their bill by a hundred marks.but its best that you time yourself accordingly, since once your dryer is done and if no one comes to claim its contents within ten to fifteen minutes, others are allowed to remove your clothes to put theirs in should there be no other washers and dryers available.[/justify]

[justify]the shop is small with a large red sign hanging above the door but it has tons of different flavors, about fifty different ones, of ice cream and many more different kinds of chocolate sweets and dedicates. there are a few tables inside to sit at and a few outside the building as well. the floors are checkered and styled like an old fifties parlor with many framed images of old movie stars like marlyn monroe and bob hope on the walls. they also sell gag gifts and lovely stuffed animals for your sweetheart on valentines day. so why don't you sweeten your tongue with some chocolate or ice cream? it's a wonderful place to hang out with friends.[/justify]

[justify]the diner is small and comfortable. their symbol is a little blue bird nicely painted on their sign or etched into their cups and plates. they have the best coffee and pancakes. they have breakfast, lunch, and diner and their service is fabulous- which is something that they pride themselves on. booths often line the walls, along with tables and chairs in the middle. customers are often encouraged to seat themselves, and waiters will come to them and take their order for them and the service is absolutely great here so don't worry about your food getting cold or your stomachs growling.

[justify]the train is the easiest, and most cheapest way to get into and around torn, rather then the standard trolleys that are about. it sometimes gets a little crowded during the holidays; but generally, they are always on time. do be sure to keep your belongings close and your tickets at hand, or they would be a the mercy of the pickpockets that tend to roam around. and as you are waiting, you can probably spot a few street musicians looking for a request and some tips along the way.[/justify]

not far from the beach, is this medium sized park. it is equipped with playground for kiddies and even a field for soccer and tennis nets for those people that are tennis fanatics. it is full of trees of many types and sizes, so there is lots of shade. but don't be caught there after eleven pm or you can get caught by the park security guards or even worse, a werewolf. this park is not only a good place to take your dog for a walk but also a lovely hunting are for your fellow werewolf so i suggest you watch your back.

[justify]the board walk is a long strip of shops, bars, restaurants right along the coast line. there are many small stores with nick-knacks and the what not. most beach lovers enjoy these stores because they have shell, star fish, and many beach clothes and bathing-suits. most are only souvenir shops for tourists when they come to visit the are but lots of natives love the shops for many of them are what most would call "hipsters." all of the shops are open until nine pm when all the stay open until two am. just because most bars around town close at eleven. most of the restaurants on the board walk turn into bars after closing as well so you have the choice to "bar hop" if you so chose.

the harbor stretches out far into the ocean and costs a buck to get on but at night it's free. it is always so crowded during the day that the life guards are forced to make people pay, in order to keep the amount of people below the limited capacity. it's a beautiful dock and very wide with benches and railings for sitting to view the sunset or sunrise depending on how late or how early you plan on staying. the life guards of the torn beach ask that you don't jump off the harbor into the ocean for multiple reasons. there are reefs below that are not certain where their cut off range or start is and also they don't want to be diving in after you to endanger themselves as well. while the area is beautiful and refreshing noting how the wind always flows over the harbor, it can also be danger if as much as trip.[/justify]

the beaches are large with waves but the waves aren't that large and aren't the best for surfing. most people come to lay in the sand or to splash around in the water. but, you have to be careful because after about a few yards into the ocean, there is a huge drop off that will suck you under the water and tumble you about if you are not careful. just a warning! in the summer it's the best time to go out and enjoy the coast, since the waters are crystal clear and the best place to go if you want to throw a party with friends at midnight![/justify]

the fire pit is on the beach in a secluded area near the edge of the forest. many people always light a large bonfire in this area, so many actually the area is named bonfire cove. there are logs and such surrounding a circular area where the fire burns where many teenagers and sometimes young adults sit and pass around a few beers and sometimes the rare hookah you see around town in the hippie type shops. be careful though because most of the cops around torn don't enjoy having to see smoke in the air especially when you don't have a fire permit![/justify]

located on the cliff tucked against on the side of the beach, the light house has been a spot for a lot of teens to gather and drink and relax. they often park their cars near the parking lot just a little ways from the beach and hike up to the comfortable spot, where the rocks are just flat enough for them to sit comfortably without the fear of falling off. while there are times that the lighthouse is in use, due to more modern technologies, it mostly remains abandonded and at the mercy of graffiti and subjects of photography.[/justify]

not exactly world renowned, but the university does pride itself on the exceptional students that attend there, their success rate, and the professors who give lectures there. the lawns are always green and well kept, in fact, overall the buildings have a new and very modern, sophisticated look to them- it seems even the campus itself has a very posh and uptight air about it, as if they only accept the best and nothing less of it. the classrooms are exceedingly nice and well kept, you clearly have to be a well put together person in order to be even accepted into this college.[/justify]

the torn memorial hospital is located close to the ocean since that is where most of the town's accidents occur. the hospital is white with steel blue details around the edges. large letters sit above the sliding glass doors at the front, so big in fact that you would think all the causalities are from them fall on people's heads as they walked in. there are ten floors in the hospital. the first two are the lobby and the waiting areas for family and loved ones. the rest are the hospital rooms with patients, the fifth floor is where the emergencies are kept and dealt with.[/justify]

the shack is located in the middle of hallow forest and is horribly beat up and falling down. there are many things lying around the area like shovels, hoes, pitchforks, and old wagons. the shack looks like it used to be a storage for farming equipment. inside the shack, there is a lot of graffiti, broken bottles of beer, and discarded and forgotten objects that people had left behind. outside, someone had made a makeshift bonfire pit with a few firewood often still in it, ready to be used again.[/justify]

the highest and most secluded place near torn. it'll be the closest you would be able to get to have a clear view of the stars. if you're living in torn, this place is an ideal place to fit every astronomer's dream. careful though, there's a sharp drop from the cliff to the bottom, even though it's not that high, it doesn't mean you'll be able to fall and walk away with only a sprained ankle, still, many people take their dates out here to view the sunset and enjoy a night of stargazing together. or others often sit and enjoy the silence that tiger's rock brings due to its location.

this small lake connects to the crystal stream that runs through the hallow forest. in this lake it is very dark and is home to many different types of fish. the lake is over ten feet deep and holds over twenty tons of water. most residence would advise you not to take a dip in these waters, but of course they are only superstitions right? however, if you're an avid fisher or a very patient person, you can come here and try your luck and see what you can catch for dinner, though be careful of what you catch, because it would be poisonous.

it's a long jump, the most well know place that nature lovers enjoy to go to and take pictures with as they feel the spray of the foam from the base of the tall waterfall. the more bold ones often jump right into the waters and take a casual swim while the more adventurous like to find a way to the top and see the world from the top looking down, hearing the roar of the waters, be careful, most are discouraged from jumping from the top for most are not smart enough to know how to land correctly.

[justify]the forest is dark and eerie. it has earned it's name for a good reason. the trees are mostly dead and owls are found flying about all over the skies. unlike most forests that are thick of trees and full of life, this is very bare but dark and has few animals roaming around. the trees are tall and thin and it's branches only grow up high and when they do they are thin and weak. the thickest branches are near the canapes. there is also a stream that flows through the forest that turns into a small waterfall.[/justify]

[justify]the stream is a long river that runs through the forest. this "river" being so shallow but so wide is always confused to be a river but really is just a stream. in the deeper parts there are fish but other than that there are mostly rocks and plants. while the stream isn't very well know, it's been depicted a lot for the vibrant plants that grow along the stream, a bright contrast against the dark of the hallow forest, the more superstitious would say it's almost poetic, while the arts claim it for the subjects of quite a few of their works.[/justify]

the most popular club house in town, and the only one that wasn't discovered by the cops which is why it still remains. many people come here to party and get their "grove" on when others come to hunt and feed. yes, this hip and popular club is also a very popular area for vampires to hunt for a midnight snack. the over all feel of the club itself is dark and loud. no one would even know if someone screamed and if someone did hear it, it would most likely sound like a good time and not like a plead for help. there are two floors. the first is where most of the dancing happens and there are back rooms and areas where some couples go to have privacy. the second floor is small because the whole floor in the middle is cut out to see the people below dancing. there are railings along the edge so you don't drop in.

[justify]going to another country? another continent? a different part of england? on the road out of torn and there's no place to put that? is there a board here that isn't listed? is there one place you have in mind that you want to put your characters in and it is not in torn? then you can make a thread here, but just be specific as to where, exactly, your thread is in the title description so we know where it is and please don't put threads here that could be located in one of our many other threads we have provided, that just confuses things greatly and we will move it to the correct one.[/justify]
